The Face of Sa-Be......

Fab news if you are in the Huddersfield area, this coming Tues and Wed at the Magical Forest Play Gym, Marsh, Huddersfield, there is a free photoshoot where either your baby or toddler can model some of Sabe's dribble bibs and you and your baby can model the slings/carriers. The usual play gym charges apply and is great for the children to play while waiting for their turn.

I will be going on the Wednesday to model a carrier with my 3 week old and I'd love to meet some of you there.

Details as given by the company:

Free professional photoshoot including entry to become the face of Sa-Be Baby, plus the option for a mini photoshoot and images on a CD for only £30
Running over 2 days during school hours

We NEED baby models to showcase our dribble bibs and wrap baby carriers on our website, social media and promotional material. Drop into Magical Forest play gym in Marsh, Huddersfield anytime between 10am and 2pm on either the Tuesday or the Wednesday, collect your ticket and relax in the playgym while you wait (pleasenote: playgym & cafe charges apply)

Discounted Sa-Be baby dribble bibs and baby carriers will be available to purchase on the day.

(Please try to arrive well before 2pm. The last shoot will be around 2:20pm as Sa-Be and CPH photography have school runs at 3pm!)

I am friends with the owner of the company. We met when I was asked through a mutual friend to model for the initial advertising shots when the company launched in 2009. I was a babywearer already and was really impressed with the products and proceeded to use the stretchy Sa-Be daily until my daughter was 18 months old and on several occasions until she was 3 years old.

Baby girl born Sat 8 June !!

Well, my second post has taken slightly longer to write as my gorgeous baby girl arrived last week! She is settling in nicely and my eldest daughter is being a wonderful big sister.

Guess who was the first person to use the Sa-Be carrier (cornflower blue) with our newest addition......hubby! I was very proud, although I discovered it's quite hard to tie a sling onto someone else - you never quite know how tight to do it....! For all the OH's out there who aren't sure about babywearing, my hubby said he's never had so much female attention, ever! A friend of mine saw him on the school run for our eldest and said the women were flocking around him and cooing over both him and the baby. The owner of Sa-Be Babywear has even asked if he would allow her to take some pictures of him wearing Bubba 2 - so you never know where slinging will lead....

Since then I have to admit, I've felt the competition and I'm pleased to report that I've used the hot pink Sa-Be on several occasions - once on the school run and once to a local nursery open day, where there was a Sa-Be stall and I ended up demo-ing how to tie it in the newborn position! I hope that led to a sale....... I also bought a couple of dribble bibs which are manufactured by Sa-Be. They have fleece on the back to stop the drool soaking through to baby's clothes and there are some lush patterns and colours available.

Getting ready for Bubba 2 .......due Sun 9th June!

With the lovely weather we've been having, it's been the perfect time to machine wash and dry my Sa-Be carriers before my imminent arrival. I have a chocolate brown, which is to be kept in the car as there are so many new lovely colours to choose from for general use. I have borrowed a cornflower blue (Dad-friendly!) and a hot pink one as I'm expecting a girl and then no-one can mistake the gender! I'm looking to purchase at least 1 new one for this baby......I have my eye on either the pink/purple or possibly the apple green/red spot and will decide in the next couple of weeks. At less than £30, you can have several, which suits me as I like to co-ordinate with my outfits and moods!!

I'm planning to use the sling particularly for the school run and trips to the park with my other daughter who is almost 5 years old. I also use buses a lot and although in my area they are pram-friendly, I found using a carrier so much easier last time and so I anticipate getting lots of use out of whichever Sa-Be carriers I have. These are also perfectly legitimate reasons to give my other half as for why I NEED so many in various colours.......!
